Essex Consulting, Inc.  focuses on development of computer guided system for designing, writing and publishing of memoirs.

Essex Consulting, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Alicja I. Ellis, Ph.D. as a research and development organization that employs computer and communication technologies to improve and enhance the emotional and behavioral well being of people around the world. During the years 1994 to 2003, the main goal of the company was to improve the quality of behavioral health care. Presently we are preparing a computer guided system for those who have interest in designing, developing and publishing a memoir. The project is presently in Phase 1 - design and development of the web site so as to enable us to reach these goals. We expect to have this site open for the writers in the Spring of 2007.

Our Past Projects

During the years 1994-2003, the mission of the company was to employ computer and communications technologies to enhance the transfer of knowledge and information in the field of health care. Essex Consulting designed, developed and productized a software system for behavioral health practitioners who work with, or are interested in, the problems of addiction and the associated mental illnesses. The system, , is an Internet information brokerage service that provides a unique environment for acquiring knowledge and information, building fellowship, and sharing professional experiences. It offers news, information, and communication services for behavioral health care professionals and their clients/patients. To date, the site membership spans more than 25 countries from around the globe. The first edition of the system was designed and developed under an SBIR Award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institutes of Health, United States and was released in January 2000. In January of 2003, the system was acquired by the River Ridge Treatment Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
